Frequently Asked Questions

TAT®:

What is TAT good for?

In short, it's good for ending stress, especially traumatic stress; losing weight and keeping it off; freeing a person of allergic reactions; gaining self-confidence; attaining empowerment; and living a happy life.

What did the NIH study done by Kaiser on TAT and weight loss maintenance show?
In the three-month period of the study, the group doing TAT gained no weight back whereas the other groups gained weight.  After the program ended and people stopped using TAT, the TAT group gained very little weight, whereas the other groups gained back six times as much.  The authors were impressed with TAT and recommended further study.

Will I re-live my trauma and feel pain again with TAT?
No.  You may very occasionally feel an intensifying of feeling, but it usually lasts for only 10-15 seconds.  Just return your attention to the intention of the Step you are working on.

How many times do I have to do a session on one trauma?
Usually, only once and it's a done deal.  Sometimes related events will come to mind and then you would do TAT about those, but the original trauma you worked on clears and the stress is gone.

Do I have to believe TAT will work for it to work?
No, you don't.  Just do the steps.  TAT works for children and even for animals.  They have no belief about TAT.

Are there any side effects from doing TAT?
Occasionally, you may feel tired after doing TAT.  A good night's sleep will take care of it.  Also, remember to drink plenty of water after doing TAT and limit your time in the TAT Pose to 20 minutes a day.  TAT moves a lot of energy and doing these things will help facilitate the clearing process while maintaining your vibrancy.

ACUPUNCTURE:

Do the needles hurt?
This is always the first question clients ask me.  First, let me tell you that the needles are sterile, disposable, one-time use needles and are completely safe.  They are also extremely thin needles, even as fine as a hair. The sensation of the needle varies fromperson to person.  Most people feel nothing when the needles are inserted and some feel slight pain which quickly subsides.

The number of  treatments needed varies from patient to patient.

What conditions do you treat?
The conditions that I specialize in are weight loss, smoking cessation, PTSD, depression, and any conditions with a strong emotional component.
I combine acupuncture with an extremely effective form of energy psychology called Tapas Acupressure Technique.
